Time is Not Your Friend on the Test

Yes, you will feel stressed about how fast you have to move on the SAT®

If you take the SAT, you will run through 98 questions in 134 minutes. Although the test may feel interminable, 2 hours and 14 minutes is not very long. It is the run-time of Marvel’s recontextualized superhero film Black Panther and David Lynch’s 1992 post-television-series film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. Don’t try and take a Practice Test while watching these movies. You both need breaks in your SAT Practice Tests, and having those movies in the background would be distracting in different ways.

In reality, the test is divided into two sections that each have two modules of the same length. Each Reading & Writing Section has two 32-minute modules. That’s the length of The Supremes’ classic 1966 volume “The Supremes A’Go-Go”, the Ramones 1977 third album “Rocket to Russia”, and Garth Brooks self-titled 1989 debut.
